— Choosing a style

Which eyelash extensions
are right for you?

Classic, Hybrid, Volume, 6D or a Lash Lift — the right answer depends on your natural lashes and how much drama you want. Here's the honest breakdown most first-timers wish they'd had before their first set.

01

Classic 日式单根

$159

Natural, mascara-like

One extension bonded to one isolated natural lash. The most undetectable set — people notice you look rested, not 'done'.

Best for: First-timers, sparse-but-healthy lashes, anyone who wants a no-makeup look.

02

Hybrid Volume 欧美款

$199

Wispy, textured, fuller

A mix of Classic singles and lightweight Volume fans. Our most-requested set because it flatters almost everyone.

Best for: Most eye shapes — the all-rounder. Fills small gaps without going dramatic.

03

6D Volume 浓密款

$219

Dense, dramatic, editorial

Hand-made 6D fans for maximum fullness. Heather checks your natural lashes can support the weight before booking.

Best for: Bold looks, photoshoots and events — when natural lashes can carry the weight.

04

Lash Lift 角蛋白翘睫

$129

Your own lashes, lifted

No fibers added — a keratin treatment that curls your own lashes upward for 6–8 weeks. The healthiest option.

Best for: Good natural length, low-maintenance routines, adhesive-reactive clients, recovery periods.

05

Fairy / Manga / Designer 漫画 · 仙女 · 泰式

$199

Styled, statement mapping

A styled map built around your eye shape — Fairy, Manga, Thai, Sunflower or Camellia — never an off-the-shelf template.

Best for: Spiky 'manga' lashes, wispy 'fairy' gaps, or a fully custom designer pattern.

Curls

C-curl — soft, open lift for lashes that already curl. CC / D-curl — more dramatic lift for straight or downward-pointing lashes. Heather picks the curl that holds your look without fighting your natural lash direction.

Lengths

Fibers run 8–14 mm, graduated across the lash line — shorter at the inner corner, longest over the outer third for a lifted, wide-awake eye. Anything more than ~2 mm past your natural lash starts to read as "stuck-on," so we map for balance, not just length.

Still deciding? Heather maps the final style with you at intake. If you're booking locally, the eyelash extensions Mountain View page walks through what a session actually feels like — or pair lashes with a gel manicure in the same visit.

— Make it last

Retention is mostly
aftercare.

Most "my lashes didn't last" stories come down to a few habits — here's what Heather, four years of experience in the chair, tells every new client.

  • Sleep on satin. Side-sleeping on cotton is the number-one retention killer; satin lets lashes slide instead of snag.
  • Keep oils away. Oil-based cleansers and makeup remover dissolve the adhesive — switch to a water-based, lash-safe wash. The American Academy of Dermatology has sensible eye-area guidance.
  • Brush daily. A quick spoolie in the morning keeps fans from crossing and the set looking tidy.
  • Refill before they thin. Come in around week 2–3 ($79 / $99) instead of waiting for a full regrow.

— Lash questions

Asked & answered.

Choosing a style, how long they last, natural-lash health, mascara, aftercare and timing.

Classic, Hybrid or Volume — which should I choose? +

Classic ($159) is one fiber per lash, the most natural finish; Hybrid ($199) mixes singles and handmade fans for soft fullness and flatters most eyes; 6D Volume ($219) is dense and dramatic. Unsure? Most first-timers are happiest with Hybrid. Heather confirms the right one against your own lashes before she starts.

What's a lash lift, and who is it for? +

A lash lift ($129) curls your own natural lashes with a keratin solution — no fibers added, and it lasts 6–8 weeks. It's the best pick if your lashes have good length but you want lift without the upkeep, or you're taking a break from a full set.

How long do eyelash extensions last? +

Each extension stays on the natural lash it's bonded to and sheds when that lash naturally sheds, over a 6–8 week cycle. To keep the line full, most people refill every 2 to 3 weeks — $79 at two weeks, $99 at three.

Do extensions damage your natural lashes? +

Not when they're applied one-to-one at the right weight and removed properly. Damage comes from fibers that are too heavy, cluster glue-downs, or picking sets off. We isolate every lash and use the lightest fiber that delivers the look. Adhesives can irritate sensitive eyes — the FDA covers the basics, and a free patch test sorts it out before a full set.

Can I wear mascara with extensions? +

You won't need to — a good set already looks like mascara. For a one-off event, use a water-based, extension-safe mascara on the tips only. Oil-based and waterproof formulas dissolve the adhesive, so skip those.

How do I wash and care for them? +

Cleanse daily with a water-based lash wash (diluted baby shampoo works fine), brush with a spoolie, sleep on satin, and keep oils off the lash line. That's most of retention right there.

How long does a full set take? +

Plan on about 75 to 90 minutes for a full set, depending on density; refills run 45 to 60 minutes. You'll lie back with your eyes closed the whole time — most people fall asleep.

Pair lashes with a fresh Gel-X set.
